42" SWEEPING PATH WITH THREE-BRUSH SYSTEM: The Karhdir S42G Manual Push Floor Sweeper combines two side brushes with one central main brush to provide a 42-inch sweeping path. The side brushes draw debris inward from both sides and along edges, while the main brush transfers collected material into the hopper.

UP TO 46,000 SQ. FT. PER HOUR: With theoretical sweeping productivity of up to 46,000 square feet per hour, the S42G provides an efficient alternative to conventional push brooms for routine and localized cleaning in warehouses, workshops, garages, parking facilities and other commercial environments. Actual productivity varies according to walking speed, surface condition, debris level, obstacles and required overlap.

15-GALLON DETACHABLE HOPPER: The large 15-gallon hopper holds dust, leaves and other loose debris while reducing interruptions for emptying. When cleaning is complete, the hopper can be removed and manually emptied into an appropriate waste container.

BATTERY-FREE MECHANICAL OPERATION: The movement of the wheels mechanically drives the sweeping brushes as the machine is pushed forward. No battery, fuel, electrical outlet or power cord is required, eliminating charging delays and allowing the sweeper to remain ready for routine use.

ADJUSTABLE BRUSH HEIGHT: Brush height can be adjusted to maintain suitable contact with different compatible hard surfaces. Proper adjustment helps the brushes collect debris effectively while reducing unnecessary bristle pressure and wear.

ADJUSTABLE & FOLDABLE HANDLE: The handle provides height and angle adjustment to accommodate different operators and working positions. After use, it can be folded down for more compact storage in garages, utility rooms, workshops and equipment areas.

ENCLOSED DEBRIS COLLECTION: The enclosed housing and hopper design help contain collected dust and debris during sweeping. This mechanical collection system operates without a vacuum motor, supporting quieter cleaning in commercial and noise-sensitive environments.

DURABLE COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION: A reinforced frame, durable body and wear-resistant polypropylene brush bristles support routine commercial use. The S42G is designed to collect compatible dry debris such as dust, sawdust, leaves, gravel, small metal shavings and general workshop waste.

Features & Applications

Three-Brush Mechanical Sweeping

The S42G uses two front side brushes and one central main brush to collect debris across its 42-inch sweeping path.

  • The side brushes extend the working width and pull debris away from edges and corners.
  • The main brush gathers the incoming material and transfers it into the hopper.
  • The brushes are mechanically driven by the movement of the machine’s wheels.
  • Cleaning performance increases naturally as the operator maintains a steady walking pace.
  • Overlapping passes may be required on heavily soiled or uneven surfaces.

For the best results, remove oversized objects, wires, straps and long cords before sweeping because they may wrap around the brushes or obstruct the collection pathway.

Battery-Free Manual Operation

The fully mechanical design does not require charging, refueling or connection to an electrical outlet. Simply push the machine forward to drive the brushes and begin sweeping.

Because the S42G contains no traction or brush motor, the amount of pushing effort required may vary according to brush adjustment, floor texture, debris volume and operating speed. Reduce brush pressure if the machine becomes unnecessarily difficult to push.

Adjustable Brushes for Different Surfaces

Brush height can be adjusted according to the floor condition and the amount of brush contact required.

  • Increase brush contact when additional sweeping action is needed on suitable rough surfaces.
  • Reduce brush contact on smoother flooring or when the machine becomes difficult to push.
  • Avoid setting the brushes lower than necessary, as excessive contact may accelerate bristle wear.
  • Check that both side brushes rotate freely and maintain appropriate contact with the floor.
  • Test the selected brush setting on a small area before cleaning sensitive surfaces.

The S42G is suitable for compatible hard surfaces such as concrete, tile, asphalt, sealed hardwood, warehouse floors, sidewalks, patios, garages and driveways. Performance may vary on deeply cracked, heavily damaged or uneven surfaces.

Large Detachable Hopper

The 15-gallon hopper allows the machine to collect more debris between emptying intervals, helping maintain productivity across larger cleaning routes.

Monitor the hopper during operation and empty it before debris reaches the brush opening or becomes too heavy to handle comfortably. Sand, gravel and metal debris may reach a practical weight limit before the hopper is completely full.

Empty only cool, dry and nonhazardous debris into an appropriate waste container. Do not use the hopper to collect liquids, burning material or chemicals.

Adjustable Handle & Compact Storage

The adjustable handle helps operators select a more comfortable pushing position for routine sweeping. When the machine is not in use, the handle can be folded down to reduce its storage footprint.

Store the sweeper on a level surface in a clean, dry location. Keep the brushes raised or free from prolonged floor pressure during extended storage to help prevent bristle deformation.

Indoor & Outdoor Applications

The S42G can be used for routine dry-debris collection in suitable indoor and outdoor areas, including:

  • Warehouses and distribution areas
  • Factories and workshops
  • Garages and automotive service areas
  • Retail and commercial facilities
  • Parking areas and paved walkways
  • Sidewalks, patios and driveways
  • Schools, gyms and public facilities
  • Farms, stables and covered work areas

Allow wet surfaces to dry before sweeping. Moisture may cause dust and debris to adhere to the brushes, hopper or internal collection pathway.

Care & Maintenance

  • Empty the hopper after each use or whenever it becomes full or difficult to handle.
  • Remove dust and debris from the hopper before storing the machine.
  • Check the main brush and side brushes for wear, bending or damage.
  • Remove hair, wire, string and fibers wrapped around the brushes or wheel axles.
  • Adjust brush height when debris pickup declines or the machine becomes difficult to push.
  • Clean the brush area and collection pathway regularly.
  • Inspect the wheels and mechanical drive components for debris or restricted movement.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry it afterward.
  • Do not spray water directly into the brush drive, wheel mechanisms or enclosed housing.
  • Replace brushes when the bristles become excessively worn, uneven or unable to maintain suitable floor contact.
  • Store the sweeper indoors in a dry, well-ventilated location whenever possible.

Important Use Notes

  • The S42G is designed primarily for collecting loose, dry debris from compatible hard surfaces.
  • Do not use the sweeper to collect standing water, wet sludge or other liquids.
  • Do not collect burning materials, hot ashes, flammable substances or hazardous chemicals.
  • Remove long cords, straps, wires and oversized objects before sweeping.
  • Do not force the machine over raised obstacles, deep potholes or unstable surfaces.
  • Adjust the brush height according to the floor condition and avoid excessive brush pressure.
  • Empty heavy debris before the hopper becomes difficult to lift or handle safely.
  • Use additional dust-control equipment where the environment contains hazardous or respirable fine dust.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when sweeping industrial debris.
  • Follow all assembly, operating, maintenance and safety instructions provided in the user manual.

How do I know whether I need a floor sweeper or a floor scrubber?

Choose a floor sweeper when the main problem is loose, dry debris such as dust, sand, leaves, paper fragments and small packaging waste. Choose a floor scrubber when the floor has attached dirt, stains, grease or residue that requires water and mechanical scrubbing.
Facilities with both types of soil may need to sweep first and scrub afterward.

What is the difference between a manual and ride-on floor sweeper?

A manual push sweeper uses the movement of its wheels to drive the brushes and does not require a battery. It is suitable for smaller areas and occasional cleaning.
A battery-powered walk-behind sweeper reduces physical effort and is more suitable for regular cleaning of medium-sized spaces.
A ride-on sweeper allows the operator to remain seated and is generally better for large facilities and longer cleaning shifts.

How do I choose the right sweeper size?

Start by measuring the narrowest aisle, doorway and turning area the machine must pass through. Compare those measurements with the overall machine width, not only the advertised sweeping path.
A wider sweeper can cover open floors faster, but a compact machine is often easier to use around shelving, furniture, parked vehicles and fixed equipment.

Can a floor sweeper be used on rough concrete or asphalt?

Yes. Commercial and industrial floor sweepers can be used on rough concrete and asphalt, although these surfaces may cause brushes to wear faster than smooth indoor flooring.
For machines used frequently on these surfaces for approximately two hours per cleaning session, we recommend replacing the side brushes every 60 days and the main brush every 90 days to maintain effective debris pickup and consistent cleaning results. Inspect the brushes regularly and replace them earlier if the bristles become excessively worn, uneven or damaged.

Can I use a floor sweeper on wet floors?

Moisture can clog dust filters, reduce vacuum airflow and cause debris to adhere inside the hopper. Allow the floor to dry first or use wet-cleaning equipment designed for liquid recovery.

Why is the machine width different from the sweeping path?

The sweeping path may include one or two side brushes extending beyond the main machine body. For this reason, the total cleaning width can be wider than the machine itself.
Both dimensions matter: sweeping path affects floor coverage, while machine width determines whether the sweeper can pass through doors, aisles and storage areas.

How much maintenance does a floor sweeper require?

Routine maintenance generally includes emptying the hopper, removing tangled material from the brushes, checking brush wear and cleaning the dust-control components. Powered machines may also require battery charging, filter cleaning and inspection of belts, motors and electrical connections.

When should the sweeping brushes and filter be replaced?

Replace the main brush or side brushes when the bristles become excessively worn, bent, uneven or damaged, or when they can no longer maintain proper contact with the floor. Reduced debris pickup, uncleaned strips and repeated debris being left behind may also indicate that brush replacement is needed.
Replace the filter if it is torn, deformed, permanently clogged or no longer controls dust effectively after routine cleaning. Reduced vacuum airflow or visible dust escaping from the machine may also indicate that the filter requires inspection or replacement.
