51" SWEEPING PATH WITH DUAL SIDE BRUSHES: The KARHDIR S1280 Ride-On Floor Sweeper combines a 51-inch sweeping path with one 19.3-inch main brush and two 19.7-inch side brushes. The side brushes move debris away from edges and toward the central sweeping path for efficient collection.

PER HOUR: With theoretical sweeping productivity of up to 92,600 square feet per hour, the S1280 helps reduce the time and labor required to maintain warehouses, factories, parking areas, commercial facilities and other large spaces. Actual productivity may vary according to surface conditions, debris levels, obstacles and operating speed.

26.4-GALLON STAINLESS STEEL HOPPER: The 26.4-gallon debris hopper provides substantial capacity for dust, leaves, sand and other loose material. Its stainless steel construction resists corrosion and everyday wear, while the manual dumping design allows collected debris to be emptied after sweeping.

OVERTHROW SWEEPING SYSTEM: The overthrow system lifts debris over the main brush and directs it into the hopper. This design supports efficient hopper utilization and dependable collection across large commercial and industrial areas.

INTEGRATED DUST CONTROL SYSTEM: A 10.6-gallon water tank supplies the spray system to help suppress airborne dust during sweeping. The vacuum fan draws fine particles toward the cylindrical filter, while the electric filter shaker helps remove accumulated dust and maintain airflow.

48V BRUSHLESS MOTOR SYSTEM: The S1280 uses an 800W main-brush motor, a 600W drive motor and a 100W side-brush motor. Brushless motor technology supports dependable operation while reducing routine motor maintenance.

3–4 HOURS OF BATTERY RUNTIME: Four included lead-acid batteries form a 48V 58Ah power system, providing approximately 3 to 4 hours of cordless operation. The supplied off-board charger requires approximately 4 hours for charging under normal conditions.

FRONT-WHEEL STEERING & REAR-WHEEL DRIVE: The front wheel controls the steering direction, while the rear wheels provide driving power. This configuration supports stable ride-on control, with a minimum turning radius of approximately 59 inches for maneuvering through large facilities.

Features & Applications

Wide-Area Sweeping Performance

The two side brushes rotate debris inward from both sides of the machine. The main brush then lifts the collected material and transfers it into the 26.4-gallon hopper through the overthrow sweeping system.

This coordinated cleaning process allows the S1280 to cover a 51-inch path with each pass and reach along compatible floor edges. With theoretical productivity of up to 92,600 square feet per hour, it is designed for routine cleaning across large indoor and outdoor areas.

Pre-inspect the cleaning route and remove oversized objects, cables, straps and other materials that could become tangled around the brushes or obstruct the sweeping system.

Integrated Dust Suppression & Filtration

The onboard water spray system applies a controlled mist to help reduce airborne dust while sweeping. Its 10.6-gallon water tank supports extended use before refilling, making the system suitable for dusty warehouses, workshops, parking areas and similar environments.

Fine particles drawn in by the vacuum fan are captured by the cylindrical filter. The electric filter shaker dislodges accumulated dust from the filter surface, helping maintain airflow and consistent dust collection.

Use the filter shaker regularly according to operating conditions. Environments with fine or heavy dust may require more frequent filter cleaning.

Edge Sweeping with Dual Side Brushes

Two 19.7-inch side brushes extend the sweeping reach beyond the central main brush. They direct loose debris away from walls, curbs and floor edges toward the main sweeping path for collection.

Approach edges at a controlled speed and maintain sufficient clearance from walls, shelving, vehicles and other fixed objects. Brush contact should guide debris inward without striking or scraping nearby surfaces.

Front-Wheel Steering & Rear-Wheel Drive

The S1280 uses front-wheel steering for directional control and rear-wheel drive for forward and reverse movement. This configuration provides stable handling across large cleaning routes and supports a minimum turning radius of approximately 59 inches.

The maximum travel speed is approximately 8.7 mph. Select a safe operating speed according to floor conditions, pedestrian activity, visibility and the amount of debris present.

Slow down before turning, approaching obstacles or entering shared work areas. The machine is designed for controlled sweeping rather than high-speed travel during active cleaning.

Adjustable Ride-On Operation

The adjustable seat allows the operator to select a comfortable driving position for longer cleaning sessions. Essential driving and sweeping functions remain accessible from the seated operating position.

The front headlight supports visibility in dim warehouses, garages and early-morning or evening work areas. The horn can be used to alert nearby personnel, while the reverse alarm provides an audible warning when the machine moves backward.

Apply the parking brake whenever the machine is stopped, parked, inspected or left unattended.

Large Stainless Steel Hopper

The 26.4-gallon stainless steel hopper holds collected dust and loose debris while resisting corrosion and routine impact. Its large capacity helps reduce interruptions during wide-area sweeping.

The hopper uses a manual dumping system and does not include an automatic full-hopper indicator. Check the debris level regularly and empty the hopper before it becomes overfilled.

Do not allow collected material to exceed the hopper’s safe handling capacity. Heavy debris may need to be emptied more frequently than lightweight dust or leaves.

Battery-Powered Commercial Operation

Four lead-acid batteries provide a combined 48V 58Ah electrical system with approximately 3 to 4 hours of runtime. Cordless operation allows the machine to move freely across warehouses, factories, parking areas and other large facilities without a trailing power cable.

Use only the specified off-board charger and connect it in a dry, well-ventilated charging area. A normal charging cycle takes approximately 4 hours, although actual charging time may vary with battery condition, remaining charge and ambient temperature.

Allow the batteries to complete the recommended charging cycle and follow all battery inspection and maintenance instructions in the user manual.

Care & Maintenance

• Empty the debris hopper after each use or before it becomes overfilled.

• Inspect and clean the main brush and both side brushes regularly.

• Remove string, wire, packaging straps and other wrapped material from the brushes.

• Activate the electric filter shaker regularly during dusty operation.

• Remove and clean the cylindrical filter according to the user manual.

• Inspect the vacuum airflow path for accumulated dust or blockage.

• Refill the spray tank with clean water and keep the spray nozzles free from obstruction.

• Drain the water system before storage in freezing conditions.

• Inspect the wheels, steering components and parking brake before operation.

• Check that the headlight, horn and reverse alarm function correctly.

• Charge the batteries only with the specified charger.

• Keep the battery compartment clean, dry and well ventilated.

• Do not spray water directly onto motors, batteries, switches or electrical components.

• Park the machine on a flat, dry surface with the parking brake applied.

Important Use Notes

• Inspect the sweeping area before operation and remove oversized or hazardous objects.

• Do not collect burning material, hot ash, flammable substances or explosive dust.

• Avoid sweeping liquids, wet sludge or materials not approved for the machine.

• Reduce speed when turning, reversing or operating near pedestrians and obstacles.

• Use the horn and observe the reverse alarm when working in shared areas.

• Monitor the hopper manually because the machine does not include a full-hopper indicator.

• Do not operate with an overfilled hopper or heavily blocked filter.

• Use the water spray system when additional dust suppression is required.

• Confirm that the surface is suitable for the machine’s weight and sweeping system.

• Apply the parking brake before leaving the operator’s seat.

• Turn off the machine and disconnect the power source before inspection or maintenance.

• Follow all operating, charging, maintenance and safety instructions in the user manual.
